If you find yourself naming tables with the same prefix with an underscore, you may notice that phpMyAdmin automatically groups them together.
This is designed to improve readability and enhance organisation and provide “faster navigation”. This maybe true with a large number of databases but if you only have a handful, it can be annoying and require an extra click to open the table you need.
To turn this feature off, click on “More settings” on the homepage > Navigation panel > Navigation tree > Group items in the tree and untick it.
