Is Dick Smith Electronics misleading the consumer

By | March 21, 2016

There’s been a lot made of the recent Dick Smith Electronic debacle. It has changed so much since the 90’s when I use to go in and buy electronic kit sets.

Looking for a bargain recently I looked at the website and came across something interesting.

These cables are advertised for $14.99 at 50% off. “That’s 50% OFF Original Price”

What a bargain right? Well, I actually bought these cables last year in July for a whopping $6!

How does Dick Smith Electronics get away with this kind of misleading advertising? Are you telling me that these cables RRP at $30NZD? I got the cables when they were advertising something around 50% discount.

Guess it’s not hard to see why Dick Smith Electronics is in the position that it is.
