The chances are that you’ll want to create new templates or even change the default template in Open Office Writer. To do this, open a document and create your ideal template. Then select File > Template > Save. Make sure that you select My Template in the Template Categories.
Here is the trick. You need to make your new template the default by going to File > Template > Organise and click on your template. It will be most likely be in your My Template folder. Then right click on the template for click the command drop down and then choose Set as Default Template.
Viola! Easy as.
